MAJOR DUTIES: Roles to be performed in this position will include all phases of project design and management, performed under a project manager which include:
Meet with clients to determine their needs, project goals and overall vision
Collaborate with team to design concepts for projects, build upon the ideas, and determine materials and finishes
Make FF&E selections that are appropriate for the project aesthetic, function and budget
Assist project architect and/or other interior designers in creation and organization of all design documents
Coordinate with other architectural disciplines such as lighting consultants, MEP engineers
Meet deadlines and other schedule criteria
Meet document standards of drawing quality and accuracy
The candidate will be working in conjunction with other team members including architects, interior designers, graphic designers/3D renderers, furniture dealers, and consulting engineers. Client interaction will be an important part of the design process requiring the candidate to have an excellent professional presence, the ability to communicate well verbally & graphically and maintain a high level of character & integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS: Looking for someone that is personable, positive, works well in a team and is comfortable presenting ideas to clients, or feels that they can grow into this role with time.
MUST HAVES:
Portfolio of past work
A high level of creative talent in conceptual design
Excellent space planning & design skills
Resourcefulness at finding unique materials/finishes
An eye for graphic design and presentation format skills
Communicate design ideas and accept constructive feedback
A team player and a creative designer with sensitivity to clients’ needs
Fluent knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit
Preferred but not required:
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and FF&E specifications
Skills in hand drawing and color rendering

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL: 4 Year Bachelor’s Degree.
RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: Accepting a wide range of applications from recent graduates to candidates with relevant work experience with a focus on medium to large commercial projects (approx 10,000 SF and up). Residential experience need not apply. Professional Registration is not required. Corporate Interiors experience is preferred.
