Joseph David Associates LLC (JDA) is seeking a licensed Architect / Project Architect to join our growing team. We are a Native American and Veteran-owned planning, design, and construction phase services firm supporting federal, tribal, military, and commercial clients across the United States.
This position is ideal for a motivated mid-career professional looking to contribute to meaningful projects in a collaborative and flexible environment. The selected candidate will work closely with multidisciplinary teams on planning and design efforts ranging from facility and infrastructure planning to architectural design and project development.
Responsibilities
Develop architectural designs, construction documents, and technical drawings
Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and clients throughout project development
Support federal, military, tribal, and commercial planning and design projects
Prepare and review drawings, specifications, and presentation materials
Demonstrated proficiency in Revit/BIM workflows, including model authoring, coordination, clash detection, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Serves as BIM Coordinator for project teams, ensuring model accuracy, standards compliance, and integration across disciplines.
Advanced Revit/BIM management, including template development, model QA/QC, and coordination with consultants.
Utilize Revit and visualization software to support project delivery and client presentations
Lead Participate in project meetings, coordination efforts, and quality control reviews
Assist with sustainable design strategies and project documentation
Support project schedules, deliverables, and client communication
Participate in client-facing meetings, presentations, and project coordination efforts
Assist with proposal development, project pursuits, and business development initiatives
Provide leadership and mentorship support to junior staff as needed
Qualifications
Licensed Architect (RA) required
Approximately 5+ years of post-licensure professional experience
Proficiency in Revit required
Experience with Enscape or comparable visualization/rendering software preferred
LEED BD+C accreditation or similar sustainability credential preferred
Experience with federal, military, institutional, or large-scale planning projects preferred
Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote work environment
