PLACE Architecture seeks Architect

PLACE Architecture is a St. Petersburg, Florida based group of architects and designers developing new ideas within the fields of architecture, interiors, and urban design. PLACE is in need of an Architect that will assist in the production, management and coordination of multifamily, hospitality, and commercial projects. Jobsite and Construction Administration experience across multiple construction and project types is needed.  Projects include renovation and new construction work.

Duties and Essential skills:

• reporting to the Principal-in-Charge and Studio Director
• interact and brainstorm with designers, consultants, and contractors
• client management & project coordination skills (effective communication with client & consultant team is a high priority)
• strong knowledge of Commercial and Residential Building Codes
• must also have the ability to move a project forward from conceptual design through construction administration as needed and manage an in-house team of 1-4 people
• prepare, review, and modify architectural documents either directly or as a lead of a team
• log, review, and coordinate responses to RFI's, Submittals, and Change Orders
• travel to local job sites in Pinellas/Hillsborough and surrounding counties

Required Skills:

• AutoCAD 2019 or higher, Microsoft Office

Desirable skills:

• Revit, Sketchup, Adobe Suite

Experience:

• professional degree in architecture required
• architectural registration preferred
• 5-10 years of architectural experience having completed medium to large projects as an architectural designer or project manager at established firm
