The interior design intern will assist senior designers with day to day tasks in the studio and in the field, while gaining exposure to all aspects of the design process. This is a highly collaborative team-player role that requires exceptional attention to detail and interpersonal skills; an in progress bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design or interior architecture; proficiency in design software; 0-2 years work experience in an interior design studio.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Organize material library samples; material research; sample ordering
Sourcing fabrics, furniture, lighting, wall coverings, antiques, carpeting, and accessories as requested by designers.
Making and maintaining Project Binders
Drafting furniture plans and interior elevations in Autocad LT
Maintaining project spreadsheets in Google Docs
Making and editing Work Orders in Pages, for custom furnishings
Making and editing Room Boards in Design Files
Renderings by hand, sketch-up, and/or photoshop
Note Taking and Participation in field and client meetings
Interacting with vendors & trades for quotes and ordering questions
General office organization and clean up; assist with SVID and client inventory
Access to dropbox, asana, and email for daily workflow and collaboration with the team
WORKFLOW
The interior design intern role is a full time hourly position for the duration of the summer, with a flexible 4 day work week. This means that the intern is expected to work from the office Monday - Thursday for 8 consecutive hours per day, including a 30 minute (paid) lunch break.
Office hours are 9am-5pm M-Th

In progress bachelor’s or master’s degree in interior design or interior architecture; proficiency with Mac; 0-2 years work experience in an interior design studio.
