We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Project Architect who relishes the opportunity to make a lasting influence on the lives of others through design. This is an in-person position based in our Nashville / Music Row studio, ideal for someone passionate, talented, focused and self-motivated who enjoys working with a like-minded team on a wide variety of projects that are enduring and impactful. This position is for someone who desires to delve into every aspect of being an architect and has an appreciation of all, from procuring a project to seeing it though to its successful completion - and every step in between. The position offers opportunities for professional growth and advancement within a collaborative, mission-minded studio.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of design concepts into detailed construction documents.
• Manage all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, design, documentation, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
• Coordinate with consultants (structural, MEP, landscape, etc.) to ensure integrated and cohesive project solutions.
• Review and manage project budgets, schedules, and resources.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, fostering strong relationships and addressing project needs.
• Ensure design quality and compliance with building codes, zoning, accessibility, and sustainability standards.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff, supporting their professional growth.
• Conduct site visits, review submittals, respond to RFIs, and oversee construction progress to ensure adherence to design intent.
• Participate in quality control reviews and internal project critiques.

Qualifications:

• Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch or M.Arch).
• Licensed Architect (or on the path to licensure preferred).
• 5+ years of professional experience with increasing responsibility in project design and delivery.
• Proficiency in architectural software (e.g., Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong understanding of building codes, technical standards, and construction practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Experience in sustainable design and knowledge of LEED or other green building standards a plus.
