Under the general direction of the Director of Development Services and Development Coordinator, and through the application of sound planning principles, the planner interprets various federal, state and local codes, and City ordinances, guidelines and policies in order to develop and provide recommendations and solutions to the decision makers to effect positive results in the growth and development of the City of West Des Moines.
