AIA San Diego seeks an experienced and dynamic management professional to serve as Executive Director. This leadership role reports to the AIA San Diego Board of Directors and will guide the Chapter through a pivotal moment, including the upcoming 2026 AIA National Convention and our 100th anniversary in 2028.

Representing over 950 architects and allied professionals, AIA San Diego promotes the value of architecture through advocacy, education, and community engagement.

Candidate Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
8+ years of organizational leadership experience
Strong communication, strategic thinking, and financial management skills
Passion for architecture and design
Fundraising, marketing, advocacy, or event planning experience
Compensation & Expectations
Salary: $95,000–$120,000 (commensurate with experience)
Full-time, exempt position (40 hours/week)
Some evening/weekend work and travel
In-person position, Hybrid work may be considered for the right candidate.
