Job Description: Perform and complete architecture design work on defined segments through all phases of a project, under supervision of a licensed Architect. Develop design documents from concept to construction and permit documents; provide solutions to general architectural problems by using a variety of 3D software, graphic techniques and media. Participate in design strategy sessions and presentations. Resolve architectural design problems and translate solutions into construction details. Apply knowledge of building materials, engineering principles, and building codes to design work and documentation. Communicate and follow up with the client through all phases of a project. Manage project budgets and schedules. Telecommuting permitted less than 50% per week. Job Requirements: • Bachelor’s or a foreign equivalent degree in Architecture or a related field. • Two years of full-time experience at an architectural design firm, including experience in all of the following: o Residential and commercial projects through all phases. o Documentation, architectural history, design, and technology. o Producing presentation packages independently with architectural drawings, diagrams & renderings with correct dimensions /areas, meeting local zoning code and site conditions, indicating proper material selections & structural design based off conceptual sketches. o Producing design documents through all phases from schematic design to construction and permit documents using knowledge of architectural design, engineering and code / regulations within the required project time frame. o Using the following programs: ? AutoCAD, Rivet, ArchiCAD, and CoralDraw to produce documents through all phases of a project; ? Sketchup to produce detailed models for the design development phase utilizing 3D-max and Photoshop; o Coordinating consultants' drawings of structural, landscape, swimming pools, and interiors. o Working and coordinating directly with clients. o Working with construction details, including concrete or CMU foundation with slab on grade or wood joist floor; concrete/CMU/brick walls; wood / metal stud walls with wood / corrugated metal / panel siding; flanged or block frame windows; solid wood and hollow metal doors; Roof eave & rake; deck & roof drainage & waterproofing. o Working with structural systems including wood post & beam; steel framing; and wood or steel trusses.
What We Offer Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $62,000 to $82,000 per year based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. Paid Time Off or Vacation: We provide eligible employees with paid vacation for up to 3 weeks to use during your first year of employment.
