We are currently seeking a Managing Architectural Engineer for our Buildings and Structures Practice in Los Angeles, CA. In this role you will work as part of a team responsible for performing tasks and executing projects related to failures in the built environment.
You will be responsible for:
Managing projects and a team of consultants during investigations
Inspection, analysis and determination of root causes of building performance failures
Conducting analytical and computer problem solving
Performing field investigations and diagnostic surveys
Assignment will require the ability to gather information from and convey technical conclusions to individuals in engineering, business and industry
You will have the following skills and qualifications:
California Architectural License or in the process of obtaining a California Architectural License
Masters or Ph.D. in Architecture or Architectural Engineering
Background in the investigation of building failures and/or diagnostic testing of building components
Excellent and creative problem-solving ability
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
Detail oriented in taking field notes and in drafting Architectural details
Ability to work independently as well as lead and work in multi-disciplinary teams
Strong desire to work in a fast-paced consulting environment
