City of Austin Development Services Department (DSD) is seeking a Residential Plans Examiner C (Technical/Zoning). This position will support the Residential Volume Builder Program, an optional expedited review process that enables volume builders to receive a faster turnaround on residential permit applications for new construction. The Residential Plan Review Division reviews new construction, additions, interior remodeling and partial demolition of single-family, duplex or two-family houses, townhouses and/or accessory buildings. Residential Review is comprised of two review disciplines: zoning (compliance with zoning regulations) and technical (compliance with the International Residential Code).
