The Draftsperson will prepare AutoCAD drawings, update and maintain the space database using eCenterOne software system or other software as selected by P&C. Assist project managers with the planning of all aspects of project delivery which includes preparation of construction documentation and construction administration of small projects, including laboratories and offices. Will also prepare plans, studies, and reports as directed by AVP. Will coordinate with other University departments as follows: Lab Safety, design criteria, and construction site safety. Information Technology, project coordination. Security, site access, and project security. Plant Operations and Maintenance Shops, small projects,s and repairs. Custodial, moves, and deliveries.
A Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of experience in an architectural, engineering, or construction firm are required. Must demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD and database software programs. Must be articulate, project confidence, and have strong communication skills. Must have the ability to coordinate both short and long-term projects, and build strong relationships across teams.
