The Candidate will have eight plus years’ experience in the hospitality industry, NCIDQ certified and TBAE licensed or pursuing. Candidate has knowledge and experience to lead the design process working independently and/or as part of a team on all phases of design from Conceptual to Construction Administration.

Conceptual Design/ Schematic Design
Is a leader and fully contributes to the project and its success.
Leads the team in project kick-off meeting contributing relevant research and Spatial Mythology concepts.
Advanced knowledge and clear understanding of the project scope, PIP or Capex program for each project in which you are the Senior Interior Designer and assist team in understanding.
Has thorough understanding of the project schedule and budget and is able to generate FF+E budget per area. In-depth knowledge of industry lead times and global understanding of time components required to compile accurate FF+E schedules.
Lead project design direction, create FF+E and concepts for interior architecture within project scope and budget and level.
Knowledgeably craft space plans and layout FF+E for all areas of the project per the program requirements and as set forth by the team.
Spearhead design meetings.
Provide direction to team and prepare content for project presentations such as Spatial Mythology, InDesign layout, floor plans, elevations, RCP’s (rendered if necessary) finishes, furnishings and textiles, electronic movie presentation, tray preparation and concepts for take-home gifts.
Schedule internal and external meetings as relative to project schedule.
Orchestrate, lead and participate in client presentations.
Fully capable of conversing independently with Owner’s representative, team Consultants and Purchasing Agent in a professional and courteous manner representative of the w+n brand when responding to requests, and acknowledge emails + calls within a 24-hour turnaround.
Create and review guestroom matrices by room type for accuracy and final issuance.
Has expert knowledge of finishes and their application, including but not limited to: carpet, flooring, wood species, millwork quality and grade, metal, table and bar top finishes, lighting, wall covering, lighting and all applicable codes per category.
Independently able to prepare and complete FF+E specifications, OFCI and Material References along with all relevant reports utilizing the Spexx Design Documentation software.
Ability to assist and direct design direction to the team in finalizing floor plans, blocking out key elevations and determining RCP’s.
Able to independently compile an FF+E bid package for release to vendors to aid in preliminary pricing.
Responsible for keeping FF+E budgets current and understanding of how they relate to given project budgets, when revisions need to be made and/or discussions with Owner to be made.
Lead and assist the team in preparing drawings and notations for preliminary pricing package to the Client and GC.
Lead the team thorough time management and awareness of “next steps” in order to move the project through the design development phase and on schedule.
Attend, initiate and/or guide others with on-site project meetings, inventory reviews, site measurements – independently or as part of the team.
Manage and coordinate rendering package process.
Orchestrate, lead and participate in client presentations.
Expert knowledge of the ADA and Building Codes applicable to hospitality and multi-family interior design and confirm all specifications and design direction meets/exceeds all codes specific to each project.
Expert knowledge of w+n CAD standards and is able to lead the team in preparing design direction and coordination within the construction documents, included but not limited to: floor plans, demo plans, RCP, elevations, sections, details, finish plans, FF+E plans and ensure all finishes and design intent are accurately documented and thoroughly correspond to the finish schedule, material references and OFCI.
Must be expertly proficient in CAD and Revit.
Generate and thoroughly review FF+E specifications, material references, OFCI specifications expectations are that the specifications are 100% complete, fully coordinated with construction documents, meet all applicable project codes, all owner/client standards and project budget.
Initiate and coordinate on-site project meetings, box review, punch review as part of the team or independently and be responsible for issuing written meeting notes to the team.
Review and approve all millwork shop drawings, shop drawings related to ID construction items, FF+E shop drawings, finish samples and CFA’s.
Manage and lead project installations as required. This includes but is not limited to:
Coordinating installation schedule and scope with vendors, purchasing agent, GC + Owner
Identifying accessories needed, budget and requesting funds from owner/ purchasing agent within correct timeframe
Identifying installation team and responsibilities

Degree in Interior Design / Architecture
NCIDQ Certified and TBAE Licensed or pursuing
LEED Certified or pursuing
