This is a full-time in office position. Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit is required.
We are currently seeking a Full-Time AutoCAD / RevitDrafter to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Professional Services, the appointee will be responsible for producing design documentation for residential and commercial projects for the lighting and audio video departments.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Prepare thorough drawing sets of floor plans, elevations, sections and details for client approval and fabrication.
Work with an existing team to coordinate drawings and provide quality design work to established specifications.
Assist PM’s with changes and additions to drawings as needed due to field and/or product changes and maintain log of revised sets with revision notes, dates and details of changes so that change order proposals can be created if needed.
Work with various vendors in determining the correct product details used on a project i.e. Get Revit or AutoCAD files from vendors websites so that our documentation has the correct dimensions of products. (Lutron lighting panel, TV backboxes, shade pocket details, etc.)
Document, organize and maintain project information.
Follow drafting schedule and adapt to changes promptly.
Proactively communicate product or schedule concerns with other departments.
Be able to form working relationship with project managers.
Must be able to perform at a high level to maintain project schedules.
Work through challenges constructively and perform the job or task at the highest level of professionalism.
Prompt and dependable attendance. Monday thru Thursday 8:00am – 5:00pm / Fridays 7:00am - 4:00pm in office.
Participate in project status meetings to stay updated on project schedules and deadlines.
Document processes and procedures as it relates to department documentation to build a drawing standard for current and future employees in the department.
Create and maintain drafting standards as far as layers, legends, title blocks, fonts, sizes, colors, issue sets, etc.
Other additional tasks as assigned.
Skills & Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Lighting Design or similar discipline
2-5 years of experience using Revit and AutoCAD to produce detailed architectural drawings
Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, Office)
Keen eye for detail and ability to visualize and understand 3-D dimensions
Strong writing and verbal communication skills
