As one of the nation’s most progressive design firms, Little is seeking a Design Principal who can continually elevate the quality of our work in our Durham, NC office through positive leadership, a collaborative work style, and deep design expertise. This high-impact position works with a transdisciplinary team while leading the design of a wide range of project types and is responsible for intently listening to client goals, identifying challenges, crafting ideas, and executing solutions that elevate client performance.
A candidate we’ll love:
- If you are a talented designer and creative problem solver with deep experience designing interior spaces for a variety of clients (Workplace, Community, Science & Technology, Civic), and understand the drivers that are important to clients who believe that their environment should contribute to their culture and success.

- If you’re good with people – you are an empathetic listener, genuinely interested in people, and are able to build followership among clients and teammates, alike.

If you want to help shape the evolution of design in the firm by collaborating with your Design Principal partners in other practice studios and in other offices
Ideal candidates will have the following Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited university.
- NCIDQ or NCARB Certification.
- At least 10 years of experience in the architecture & design industry.
- Deep Interior design experience.
- Excellent Revit, Autocad, SketchUp and/or other design software skills.
