Design-Build Project Manager - Highway/Heavy Civil

Come join the C. S. McCrossan team.  We act as GC for major single-season and multi-year projects (e.g., I-94 reconstruction between Maple Grove and Rogers, extending Hwy 610 west of Hwy 169) and participating as a joint venture partner in projects, including the I-494/Hwy 169 Interchange and the Green Line Southwest Light Rail Project.

We have an immediate opening for a Design-Build Construction Project Manager to help lead our alternative procurement and delivery activities.  This is a visible leadership position responsible for providing project management and contract administration for Highway/Heavy Civil Design-Build construction projects.

Qualifications                   

• Bachelor's Civil Engineering/Construction Management degree or equivalent combination of technical training and experience
• 7-10 years Project Management/Construction Management experience; diversified Highway/Heavy Civil Design-Build experience preferred
• DBIA certification a plus; will also assist in obtaining
• Experience using HCSS Heavy Job or similar Project Management software a plus
• Excellent leadership, organization, communication, and negotiating skills

Responsibilities

• Support Design-Build bidding and lead Design-Build construction activities
• Plan, administer and supervise Highway/Heavy Civil construction projects
• Maintain excellent relationships with project partners - owner, consultants, subcontractors -- through constant communication and consistent professional behavior
• Establish and maintain safe working conditions; implement and enforce corporate safety policies and procedures
• Coordinate all phases of project construction, ensuring work is performed on time and within budget, proactively identify potential delays and address conflicts
• Negotiate and process extra work claims, change orders, supplemental agreements, and value engineering concepts
• Track and monitor subcontractor work and billings
