Reporting to the Group Director or Manager, Creative and working closely with the Associate Creative Director, Brand Experience & Design, the 3D Designer will lead and contribute to the creative ideation of immersive branded experiences to deliver customer and business value, e.g., store formats, connected experiences, activations and events at CVS Health. This role will design a range of branded applications within our stores and in our extended experience moments. This passionate designer must have high creative aesthetics and brand-driven strategic thinking, broad knowledge of architectural and environmental design, a passion for human centered design and who can lead and contribute to the ideation of customer experience strategy and design. You will draw from your experience branding, shopper marketing, communications, architecture, interior design, wayfinding and signage systems and digital technologies. This is a position that requires interaction with senior leaders throughout the organization. The 3D designer partner with our teams and external agency partners in the ideation and implementation of spaces, places, activations and events and will ensure that the brand is being represented properly and consistently in all touchpoints and business goals and outcomes are delivered.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Bring creative ideas and vision to life across a wide scope of unique projects, e.g., retail stores and clinics, branded in-store spaces – department and category reimagination, pop-up shops, corporate facilities etc.
- Partnering with Senior/Creative Director, designers, writers and external agencies to ideate and implement project expectations and ensure execution of ideas as planned.
- Generate impactful creative ideas and executions that deliver and adhere to the brand vision and brand standards while ensuring consistency
- Successfully use skills and knowledge to create compelling themes, ideas, and designs that are on brand, and meet or exceed business objectives.
- Develop and maintain trusted partnerships with peers, internal business teams, and external agencies
- Bring ideas to life across a wide scope of unique projects through innovation and collaboration with internal stakeholders and external agencies
- Presents design concepts to internal team for design reviews and approval
- Partner with internal and external implementation teams to ensure execution of ideas as planned.
Required Qualifications:
- Creative design within Consumer Retail
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an environmental or retail designer at a design firm, agency, and/or corporate environment with portfolio of how their contributions assisted in the development of breakthrough creative
- Technical skills include the Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office, Sketchup, Autocad, Vray, hand sketching and proficiency on a Mac
Preferred Qualifications:
- Must have knowledge, understanding and experience in developing concepts to collaborate with cross functional teams, production in fixture creation and print production
- Acute sense of latest global experience and retail concepts and trends, health and wellness, pop culture, retail, tech, and design trends
- Broad range of design skill sets and experienced knowledge of branding, marketing communications, architecture, interior design and digital technologies
- Ability to demonstrate a passion for strategic and creative problem solving and deep understanding of human centered design to develop compelling ideas that are on brand and meet customer, member and patient needs and deliver on business objectives.
- Demonstrated 3D visualization ability and working knowledge of color and design principles
- Knowledge of architectural and interior elements: understanding of architectural drawings (plans, elevations, sections, RCP), details and schematics
- Knowledge of implementation production/fabrication methodologies for interior elements
- Able to create designs that reflect and expand on brand guidelines with knowledge of typography, color, and composition
- Ability to demonstrate a passion for strategic and creative problem solving to meet business objectives
- Ability to generate impactful creative ideas and executions that deliver and adhere to brand vision and brand standards while ensuring consistency
- Ability to understand creative briefs and translate the input into ideas
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
