LEVER Architecture is mid-sized architecture firm based in Los Angeles, CA and Portland, OR. We are seeking candidates to contribute to and grow with an award-winning office dedicated to design, research, and impactful projects across many different scales, regions, and typologies. The firm brings international experience and design excellence to diverse range of building types including institutional, creative office, and multi-family housing, as well as being nationally recognized for technical innovation with mass timber. The best candidates will have a demonstrated enthusiasm for design, good communication skills, and experience with all design phases.
As a Project Leader you:
Display a passion and proficiency for outstanding design, including conceptualization, detailing and technical design
Are self-directed, take initiative and seek thoughtful solutions for design execution
Have relevant experience with complex projects
Have a deep understanding of building, zoning, energy codes, ADA, construction standards and other regulatory requirements
Seek engagement and collaboration at all levels towards design solutions, this includes the internal and external design teams, clients, consultants, and contractors
Are energized to create something new every day and eager to lead a team
Demonstrate motivation in seeking new responsibilities and challenges
Manage and mentor team members from concept design through construction
Set direction for the execution of project goals and objectives with project team and clients
Independently develop project proposals and add services, define, and manage work plans and organize and supervise design teams
Contribute to general office-wide initiatives and marketing efforts
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture
8-10 years professional architecture experience
Licensed Architect is a plus
Experience and familiarity with industry standard design software, including Revit required
Experience and familiarity with zoning and building codes a plus
Experience coordinating with engineers and consultants
Experience producing detailed construction document sets and/or construction administration experience
Comfortable working independently and as a productive member of a team
Highly motivated, proactive, and passionate
Well-organized and detail-oriented, with strong graphic and verbal communication skills
Interest in ongoing learning and action to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion in the profession and community
