Join RossDrulisCusenbery’s growing team designing exciting interior environments for civic, commercial and hospitality projects in the Bay Area and nationally. As a core member of RDC’s design team, you will work collaboratively with professionals in a variety of disciplines, as well as directly with clients and building users.
We are seeking an experienced interior designer with strong design, technical and management skills. As Interior Architect/Interior Designer, you will assist in programming client needs, developing interior design concepts and solutions, generating space plans, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating with Principals, architects and outside consultants, and preparing interior design and construction documents. You will work with furniture vendors and a suppliers and research products and obtain samples. Position requirements include:
Responsibilities: Utilizing Revit software, design, coordinate and assemble complete sets of interior design and construction documents
Work collaboratively with RDC Principals and project teams
Program client requirements
Prepare interior design concepts and construction documents
Prepare Furniture, Fixture and Equipment (FF&E) procurement documents
Review, coordinate and incorporate the work of outside consultants
Manage interior project scope, schedule and budget requirements
Conduct and document on-site observations
Process interior design submittals, RFIs, substitution requests and shop drawings
Interface with furniture vendors and material suppliers
5 - 10 years of demonstrable experience as an Interior Architect or Interior Designer
Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD
3D rendering and visualization skills a plus
Knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures
Team player, collaborative organizational, communication and relationship management skills
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Interior Design or related field
CA Architectural license or ASID accreditation ideal
LEED accreditation a plus.
