The Town of Breckenridge is a popular resort community nestled in the picturesque Rocky Mountains where residents enjoy an outstanding quality of life.  The Community Development Department is seeking a dedicated and customer service oriented individual for the position in the Building Division for a Plans Examiner/Inspector II or III.

Plans Examiner/Building Inspector II: Enforces all adopted Building, Plumbing, and Mechanical codes and standards in the construction, alteration, repair and demolition of buildings and other structures through site inspections and public counter assistance. Performs plan reviews of single family and small commercial developments. May also be required to enforce electrical codes and standards if suitably qualified.

Plans Examiner/Building Inspector III: Reviews building plans of all types including single family, commercial and multifamily developments. Enforces all adopted Building, Plumbing, and Mechanical codes and standards in the construction, alteration, repair and demolition of buildings and other structures through site inspections and, public counter assistance. May also be required to enforce electrical codes and standards if suitably qualified.

The primary function of this position is performing plans examination on all types of projects.  The position may require the individual to occasionally perform building inspections as needed by the department.
