Vanir Construction Management, Inc. is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join the team in Sacramento, California. The Senior Project Manager is an experienced, technical-focused licensed architect who is responsible for preparing feasibility studies, needs assessments, funding applications, space programs preliminary layouts for his clients. This position will have heavy involvement in pre-design, design management and pre-construction services, and shall have the experience and knowledge to advise project participants on state and local building codes and requirements for project development, including CBC, ADA, SFM, DOF, SPWB , FAA, Coastal Commission, COE, and local building and fire officials.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Strong knowledge of leading project development to include building codes, contracts, design, design/construction management, project systems/delivery, and specifications to ensure relation and compliance to project requirements
• Manages, oversees and coordinates all facets of pre-design, project development, and bid/award phases of all assigned projects
• Works with the design team to focus on the approved original project scope
• Manages design budget and schedule
• Interfaces with required project agencies and ensures meeting agency requirements for project development
• Primary contact and liaison for owner and principle partner entities for the contract, design, systems, procedures and related deliverables
• Coordinates with all pertinent public agencies to complete federal and state requirements as needed; coordinates with representatives from various utility and government agencies to obtain timely action on successive phases of project completion
• Construction administration services; attend construction meetings, observe construction for conformance to contract documents, preparing and issuing Architects Supplemental Instruction, Change Directives, and Change Orders and responding to Requests for Information
• Work collaboratively with project management and support services teams (scheduling, estimating, and constructability)
• Assists project team with contracts, bid and contract planning
• Leads team in project code analysis
• Represents Vanir and clients in public hearings, meetings and presentations
• Performs detailed project Constructability Reviews and document Quality Control
• Perform other duties as required
