Like many, we continue to work primarily remotely at this time, following the guidance of our governmental leadership and staying safe. As a new Interior Designer, you’ll be starting out remotely, eventually working in our Portlandstudio.
In this role, you will:
Collaborate within design teams performing programming, conceptual design, production and review of construction documents
Develop space planning, interior details, select materials and furnishings, develop lighting strategies, and associated coordination for clients of any project size
Coordinate drawings and delivering packages, mentoring staff and provide guidance
Coordinate with consultants, contractors, vendors and product representatives
Engage in the interior design leadership practice within Mahlum
An experienced designer, with at least 7 years of firm experience delivering results for clients, experience in education and or healthcare preferred
Bachelor’s degree in interior design or related field
NCIDQ certification preferred
Experienced in programming and conceptual design and construction detailing
Skilled in collaboration, time management, Revit, Adobe CS, Microsoft Office
Enthusiastic about the art and science of the mental, physical and environmental design choices that lead to sustainable, transformational systems
