Mackey Mitchell Architects is seeking a full-time Architectural Designer, expertise with higher education student life projects (residential, sports & recreation, academic, and planning) is preferred. Candidates shall have the following minimum skills and attributes:
Accredited professional architectural degree (Bachelors or Masters)
8-15 years of work experience leading design efforts
Proficient drawing ability (hand sketching) and computer skills (Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, other 3-D visualization/rendering software)
Excellent verbal and graphic communication skills, articulate and an astute listener
Client-centered … a relationship builder
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well in teams
Proven ability to effectively lead and facilitate design meetings with diverse client and user groups (large and small)
Ability to synthesize client input and quickly arrive at design solutions that balance exciting visions of possibility with pragmatic constraints
Willing and able to travel on a regular basis
Authorization to work in the United States.
