CallisonRTKL seeks a Project Architect with extensive project management experience to join its Specialty Retail Sector located in Seattle, WA office. The position is focused on managing small-to-mid scale specialty retail projects.
Responsibilities •Understands all phases of design and construction •Plans, coordinates and manages the project process for small-to-mid scale projects •Prepares work drawings, specifications and cost estimates for projects •Oversees and revises construction documents, drawings and renderings •Represents the project or practice as the primary contact for client interaction •Negotiates critical and controversial issues with appropriate parties •Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations •Ensures work meets clients’ requirements, is timely and completed within budget •Manages the work of architecture and interior design staff that complete design or production work, and construction documents •Assists with financial management of all assigned projects
Requirements •Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related design field •Masters degree preferred •9+ years of related architecture experience, retail project experience preferred •Professional registration preferred •Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects •Strong verbal and written communication skills •Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all clients and employees •In-depth knowledge of building codes •Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit •Experience with Sketch-up preferred •LEED accreditation preferred •Submit portfolio with application
