Prestigious Modern Custom Home Architectural Firm seeks Experienced Luxury Home Designer with Modern Design Experience
Phil Kean Design Group is located in beautiful Winter Park, Florida and is largely known for its owner's award-winning Modern Home designs.
The available position is directly under the owner/lead architect. The employee would produce custom home and remodel designs in line with our owner's design aesthetic. The employee would meet with clients, listen to their program and be able to create a design from scratch to be approved by the lead architect. The candidate must have strong design skills and be able to professionally see a project through efficiently and without much supervision.
This position is challenging yet inspiring. All our clients expect superior architecture, efficiency, expertise, outstanding customer service, attention to detail and to be your priority. Each designer works on multiple projects at one time. Projects range from 4,500 sq. ft. and up at the $1.5MM and up price point.
The company has a great work environment. With approximately 40 employees, it is a family like atmosphere.

President, Phil Kean, studied at Harvard University and Washington University to earn his Masters of Architecture (MArch) and Business Administration (MBA). Phil is a Licensed Architect (AR95091), Certified Residential Contractor (CRC1327855), Licensed Interior Designer (ID6290) and a Certified Green Professional. Phil is the Immediate Past President of Central Florida’s Master Custom Builder Council, member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), American Institute of Building Design (AIBD), American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), National Association of Home Builders (NAHB), Greater Orlando Builders Association (GOBA), Florida Green Building Coalition-Central Florida Chapter, and the U.S. Green Building Council. His homes have been featured in Florida Design, Robb Report, on Dwell.com and Architectural Digest.com.
The candidate must have a portfolio of custom homes they personally designed. There must be at least one modern home in the portfolio.
The candidate must be able to listen to a client's vision and design a home from scratch.
The candidate must be willing to work under and accept supervision from our lead architect and owner.
The candidate must be able to collaborate with interior designers and kitchen designers.
The candidate must be able to speak and write English well. Also being able to communicate in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus.
Architectural license a plus.

Additional Salary Information: Salary negotiable based on skill level, expertise managing clients and efficiency.
Employee health insurance covered at 100% the 1st day of the month after 60 days of employment; 401(k) with 3% company contribution for eligible employees after one year of service on 1/1 and 7/1 enrollment dates; one week personal time after 90 days and vacation available after one year of employment.
