We are currently looking for an Architect to join our firm. As a Project Architect, you will develop, interpret, organize and execute the conceptual design of a project utilizing creativity, foresight and high level technical knowledge and professional judgment to bring the project from conception to completion completion.
If you are not yet licensed, you will be working with a senior architect who will provide oversight and guidance.
Take the lead in supervising and drafting/drawing on project(s) without supervision and lead support staff to complete the project
Ensure the overall design intent of the project and monitor the process from conceptual phase through construction administration, making sure the design strategy is consistent and properly executed.
Technical resolution and coordination of consultants, details, and assemblies.
provide mark ups and red-lines for JR staff to implement.
Check completed reports, plans, estimates and calculations for accuracy.
Develop/Edit specification for the projects
Provide drawing coordination, research and appropriate use of Standards to organize the construction set
Communicate with other disciplines, vendors, and consultants to ensure incorporation of all information into project requirements and provide support as necessary.
Communicate with client representative as necessary to verify design requirements and specifications, participate in the review process and deliver final product.
Participate in review of project costs and budgets and adherence to the schedule.
Provide CA for projects, including possible site visits, RFI's, review of submittals, clarifications and close out of the project.
Strong knowledge of Detailing, Quality Control, design trends, construction methodology, material application, and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
Advanced knowledge of architectural building systems, building codes and ability to research and apply/incorporate into technical documents.
Be able to implement a QA/QC process.
Proven ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients.
Proficiency in the Technical Drawing skills including the following computer skills:
Revit Proficiency preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.
Proficiency in AutoCAD/Architectural Desktop/Revit.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in architecture or equivalent and 5 plus years architecture and/or design experience.
Licensed Architect or currently in registration process preferred.
