The Entry Level Architect has typically been licensed for less than 3 years. This role's primary activities are performed under the direction of a Principal or Project Manager and are focused on the implementation of project directives. The successful candidate is organized, motivated, detail-oriented, and willing to work with the team and take responsibility for getting the job done.
Under the direction and supervision of the team leader, performs project tasks, including:
Participate in client meetings and understand client needs in order to develop architectural solutions.
Develop timely, high quality architectural designs.
Develop technical solutions through all phases of a project.
Produce conceptual renderings for project design and presentation.
Prepare architectural construction documents and related specifications.
Involvement in Construction Administration and project completion.
Possess the desire and ability to learn, advance and grow in a team oriented work environment.
Qualified candidates need to have the following core competencies and experience:
One to three years related experience is required, preferably in an architectural firm.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an NAAB-accredited program.
Architectural License is preferred, but comparable experience levels will be considered.
Solid communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to plan, prioritize and organize simultaneous assignments and work under tight deadlines.
Knowledge of architectural principles and practices.
Knowledge of building materials and construction methods.
Proficiency in the following software packages is preferred:
AutoCAD Architecture and Revit.
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
Adobe Creative Suite (Primarily InDesign & Photoshop)
V-ray rendering packages for Revit & Sketchup.
