ON THE NIGHT OF OCTOBER 8, 2017, OUR CO-FOUNDER JACK LOST HIS HOME, LIKE THOUSANDS OF OTHER SONOMA AND NAPA RESIDENTS.When he began the process of trying to rebuild, he felt hopeless. The insurance process was excruciating, estimates to rebuild his home massively outstripped his budget, and timelines to even get started stretched out for years. He was spending 40+ hours each week trying to get his home rebuilt, and he wasn’t making any progress.Jack knew there had to be a better way. In other parts of California, builders had capacity to do more and wanted to come help, but didn’t know how. Jack saw an opportunity to create a new kind of homebuilder that could help thousands of homeowners, and in the process, rebuild Sonoma faster. That’s why he started Homebound.
