About Keith Yates Design
Based in the Sierra foothills between Sacramento and Lake Tahoe, Keith Yates Design is the largest and most technically advanced designer of highly immersive, purpose-built Private Theaters, Media Rooms and Private Concert Halls in the US, with over 200 such venues built or under construction from California to Bangkok. KYD's main "product" is a 50-200 sheet package of Revit/BIM-based drawings and renderings including: artist and near-photorealistic type renderings; exploded 3-D assembly type drawings of noise- and vibration-engineered walls, ceilings, floors, soffits, etc.; 4-D exploded drawings showing the sequencing of the depicted structure; extensive acoustic treatments; audiovisual elements (speakers, subwoofers, screens, etc.); ultra-low noise HVAC and power system details; and the graphed results of KYD's in-house, physics-based modeling and optimization processes. For the past 24 years, KYD's growth has been fueled almost entirely by word of mouth, esp. among Silicon Valley technologists, CEOs, venture capitalists, and a who’s who of Hollywood directors and producers.
