Pickard Chilton is an award-winning architectural design practice that values creative solutions, collaboration, and rigorous problem solving in all aspects our work. We are currently seeking a graphic designer to join our studio in New Haven, CT.
Working directly with firm Principals and as an integral team member, the graphic designer will support both architectural and marketing teams with design efforts that will include:
Presentation and proposal design;
Diagrams and infographics;
Office graphic standards;
Wayfinding and signage development;
Project-based publications and graphic material;
Marketing collateral and design award submissions and,
Production assistance to architectural teams.
The ideal candidate will have:
Undergraduate or Graduate degree in architecture, graphic design or a related discipline;
At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in an architectural studio setting;
Excellent communication, graphic design and infographic skills;
Understanding of industry best practices and emerging trends;
Leadership and mentoring skills to propagate best practices to studio;
Excellent skill with Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, Adobe Acrobat) and high resolution photo editing;
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Rhino is preferred;
Experience with additional 3-D modeling and/or rendering software a plus;
Experience with animation and HTML a plus;
Ability to meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a highly organized, collaborative, and detail-oriented manner on multiple tasks; and
Desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, design-driven, quality-focused, creative environment.
